Will Expand Recreational Access for the Chesapeake, Create Jobs & Honor Military
Washington, DC – Chesapeake Conservancy Executive Vice President of External Affairs Mark Conway issued this statement following the House passage of the bipartisan Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act.
“Chesapeake Conservancy applauds the bipartisan leadership of Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-AR), Ranking Member Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) and the Maryland and Virginia congressional delegation to pass the EXPLORE Act.“The bill will expand recreational access to lands and waters in the Chesapeake Bay, create jobs in local communities and honor our military.
“We congratulate the House sponsors and supporters on this achievement and will work with recreation partners to secure Senate passage of the bill.”
